Valaida Snow was a great trumpet player and singer of the thirties, probably the pioneer of trumpet performers, besides being an excellent singer and renowned arranger. Born on June 2, 1905 in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was known as ” Queen of the Trumpet and songs”, “The Female Louis Armstrong “, “Little Louis” and “Lady Louis”. Talented and exceptional player, exciting vocalist, attractive, excellent dancer and an irresistible performer, popular for her hypnotic scatting and exceptional charisma.
