Behind the scenes of GREGHⒸⒹⓇ with the designer who created it

Every project begins with an intuition, but it is the path that follows that turns it into something real. Behind every new lamp lie ideas, discussions, trials, refinements, and decisions that are rarely visible in the finished product.

That is why we chose to tell the story of GREGHⒸⒹⓇ from a different perspective, through an exclusive interview with Luca Turrini of Format Design Studio, designer of the collection, and Clemente Tucci of Cangini & Tucci.

Together with Luca Turrini, we trace the creative process behind the collection: from its first inspirations to the ongoing exchange between design, research, and production that allowed the original idea to evolve into a highly configurable system.

Design is a shared process

One theme stands out above all in Luca Turrini's account: designing a system like GREGHⒸⒹⓇ means constantly balancing creative vision with production feasibility.

Design never works in isolation. Every intuition must be tested against materials, available technologies, the capabilities of production, and the real needs of those who will use the product within a project.

It is precisely through this dialogue between Format Design Studio and Cangini & Tucci that GREGHⒸⒹⓇ gradually found its form. Aesthetic research, technical expertise, and knowledge of the material all worked toward the same goal, transforming an inspiration into a real, configurable lighting system.

Compositional freedom as a design principle

Modularity is one of the defining elements of GREGHⒸⒹⓇ. The system was conceived to allow architects, interior designers, and lighting designers to start not from a predetermined configuration, but from the characteristics of the space and the requirements of the project.

Its wide range of compositional possibilities makes it possible to develop coordinated wall-mounted, floor, and pendant solutions, creating different installations in terms of scale, development, and visual impact.

Light thus becomes a design material: not an element added at the end of the process, but a tool for creating relationships, perspectives, and atmospheres.

A creative journey revealed

Understanding the journey that turns an idea into a product allows us to better appreciate its value.

Behind the final form of GREGHⒸⒹⓇ lie attempts, insights, research, and a constant exchange between different areas of expertise. The interview with Luca Turrini takes you inside this dimension, revealing what usually stays behind the scenes of a design project.

It's a story of anecdotes, details, and reflections that captures the complexity of a process in which creativity and technique are not two separate worlds, but parts of the same journey.

Cangini & Tucci Returns to London for LiGHT26

Our next appointment is in London: on November 18 and 19, Cangini & Tucci will take part in LiGHT26, the international event dedicated to lighting design and lighting professionals.

At booth D25, we will present a Cangini & Tucci selection within a new exhibition space designed to express our way of interpreting light, borosilicate glass, and the customization possibilities we offer for every project.

Which collections will we bring to London? We're not ready to reveal that just yet.
In the coming weeks, we'll begin sharing, one clue at a time, what you'll be able to discover at LiGHT26.

Follow us on social media to discover the collections featured at our booth and all the news we'll be bringing to the show.
